Domingão GOOD (AND ANY OTHER DAY) IS WITH Dominguinhos
On 12 / 2 the accordionist and composer Dominguinhos completed 70 years of age. Being 70 years of life over 40 and a beautiful musical career, there would be some days late (lots of work here) to prevent me from providing a homenagenzinha. So I rode a collection of compositions from the master recordings Garanhuns unusual (even rhymed).
To begin, here are four partnerships with Anastasia. "I Love Will Die", a hit with Gal Costa in 1975, Anastasia was released by itself in 1970 - is the recording we hear here. Luiz Gonzaga, who is godson Dominguinhos undisputed artistic and follower, she released "Now I will, Mother" the same year, 1970. Another is "I Thirst" in the second of two recordings made by Gilberto Gil, the album Unplugged 1994. To complete this amostrazinha, let's remember "Only One Xodó," perhaps the best known partnership Dominguinhos and Anastasia - but unusual in a recording made in 1974 by the English pop group Mocedades (one of the smash hit "Eres Tu") - singing in Portuguese! the next volumes (two are!) Dominguinhos have partnerships with others, including Chico Buarque, Nando Cordel and Rita Lee, and rarities from Dominguinhos himself as an interpreter.
